St. Leo Church in Columbus, Ohio


The St. Leo Preservation Society is a 501.c.3 charitable organization dedicated to protecting and preserving the buildings of St. Leo Church and to further the charitable works of the parish.

Founded in 1903, St. Leo Church was closed on July 1, 1999. However, efforts are being made to restore the church and maintain its church community.

Join us for a day-long, coach bus tour of pipe organs in and around Columbus. Our first stop will be Peebles-Herzog organ company right here in Columbus, where we will enjoy a brief lecture about how the pipe organ works as well as an explanation of the work and maintenance the instruments require. Other stops will include the Old First church, where the last Skinner Pipe Organ in Columbus is located; St. Leo’s historic church and organ tour; and many other exciting locations.

The tour cost is $40.00 per person which will cover transportation, lunch, and all other fees associated with the trip.

Our beautiful and historic VonGerichten windows have been repaired and refurbished. Special storm windows have been installed which will ensure that the stained glass windows last for many years to come.


CDs of the concert recorded on January 29, 2012 for the rededication of St. Leo’s organ are now available. Paul Thornock performing.
